Rule Britannia! Hornby is probably the largest producer of electric trains in the UK (sometimes referred to, on this side of the pond, as the Lionel of England), and produces OO/HO track for model railroads. They have a reasonable variety of switches which should meet the needs of most layout designers. A British alternative to Hornby is Peco.
